After finding these ear plugs in the store, I took them home and designed this cool new popper. However, like most great ideas, a quick search of the internet found that others have also been designing flies with the foam ear plug. Oh well, so much for being the first. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation! Besides spending time with friends and family, I was lucky enough to get on the water with my good friend Captain Gary Giles. Wade fishing the IRL (Indian River Lagoon), we caught too many trout to count, having 100+ days, between 11/26/08 and 11/30/08. The Giles Clouser was certainly the fly to throw. The best fish of the trip(s) was this beautiful 21" Pompano Gary caught on his Clouser. I added an artistic touch to the image, but the original photo is available on the Giles Clouser fly page.

I tie quality saltwater flies for tarpon, snook, redfish, and trout. Living near the beautiful Indian River Lagoon, I get to experiment with a number of different fly patterns; modifying colors, adding or removing flash, and even changing the swimming characteristics of the fly. From these experiences, I have selected the best producing files to make available via my website. Each fly is described in terms of species, color, and hook size.
