Bill Sargent's Florida Today Article

Bill Sargent from Florida Today wrote a recent article on Patterson Saltwater Flies and our fund-raising efforts. The article explains our mission, my children's condition, fund-raising, and, of course, a great fly - the Giles Clouser.

Florida Today - Flies tied to personal cause. Dad makes, sells Giles Clouser to help fight twins' disease

I want to thank everyone for their orders in response to the Florida Today article. My family is touched that so many people read Bill's article and placed orders. Please bear with me over the next week or two as I get the orders processed. Remember, I do this after my normal day job! Also, if you don't need flies, you can still donate directly to the same fund-raising effort at Holly's Fundraising Page

Steve Gibson's Blog

I recently had the good fortune to meet Steve Gibson at the Federation of Fly Fishers Conclave in Orlando. I sat with Steve while he tied some of his modified D.T. Specials and Myakka Minnows. We discussed West coast beach snook, Everglades fishing, kayak fishing, and of course, his flies. I also brought up my families fund raising activities, including this website. Steve is a good guy and a great fly tyer. In his recent blog he wrote about Patterson Saltwater Flies. Please check it out and if you're on the West coast or looking to book a guide for some Everglades fishing, please call Steve at Southern Drawl Kayak Fishing and tell'em Stuart sent you!

Buy Flies to Fund Medical Research!

Proceeds from each sale go to ASAP.ORG

I tie quality saltwater flies for tarpon, snook, redfish, and trout. Living near the beautiful Indian River Lagoon, I get to experiment with a number of different fly patterns; modifying colors, adding or removing flash, and even changing the swimming characteristics of the fly. From these experiences, I have selected the best producing files to make available via my website. Each fly is described in terms of species, color, and hook size. You will find flies for Sanibel beach snook, Mosquito Lagoon redfish, and Indian River Gator trout!

Please take your time and browse my fly catalog. New flies will be added over time.

Proceeds from the sale of my flies go to fund medical research. For more information visit www.helpholly.org

Mustad Donates Signature Series Hooks!

You read that right! Mustad has donated hooks to help raise money for medical research! This means when you order a fly on a number 1, 2 or 4 Mustad hook, it will be tied on the Signature Series S71SZ hook. Besides getting a great fly tied on a hook from the industry leader, each fly sold will now generate MORE money for medical research. Thanks Mustad!

Captain John Meskauskas includes Patterson Saltwater Flies in his Blog!

Captain Meskauskas has included a blog entry for Patterson Saltwater Flies on his website. The entry includes fantastic photos of my flies and a wonderful write-up of our cause.

"Every once in a while I get inspired by something or someone, and this is exactly what happened the minute I came across Stuart Patterson's website. I was doing some research on pompano flies when I came across Stuart's site and after reading through his site I had to buy some flies."
