Captain Gary Giles of Prepare For Catching Charters heads up the Tarpon Tagging program for the Sportfish Research Institute. I recently had the honor of meeting with Gary and discussing Tarpon, and of course, Tarpon flies. After giving him some of my classic Cockroach flies and getting some of his Tillman Tarpon Slayers "...this cockroach is just killing the Tarpon!" (coming soon!) he called to let me know just how effective the cockroach was performing! "Stuart, Man, this cockroach is just killing the Tarpon! I've already landed two and just lost a huge one! I've only got one fly left!" Needless to say, I tied up some more and dropped them off to Gary.
